Manly Clothing for Manly Men

Suits and dress shirts are nice, but they aren’t made for war. So what kind of clothing survives abuse, adventure, and adversity? Here are ten different clothing items — many of which we’ve discussed on this site before — that will outlast you, your children, and even your grandchildren.

They may be unsexy, but they are durable, and that's what matters sometimes. Jump boots are made to be abused, kicked around, and cleaned up -- and if you ever find yourself in need of virtually indestructible boots, these are your answer. You may feel like a military nerd, but the benefits will outweigh the costs.

Quite silly posting a trench coat worth 2,500$ when this site is aimed for 20-something men, most of which don’t have bottomless bank accounts.

Did you not say in your Levis Denim Guide, to NOT wear 501s?

  3. Kirk says:

501XX != 501. Shrink to fits, as the name implies, shrink to fit your legs and thus have a slimmer, tailored look. 501s aren’t really good for most people, save perhaps for the rare person who has the proportions that fit in them perfectly.

You may need to rethink that one. I think there are a lot more men of average build that can’t pull off the low cut skinny type jean especially if you have to do a little work.Too tight and big chance you’ll look like a plumber.

^A lot of ‘in the closet’ homosexuals here
