Amp up your Style: Style ideas for Fall 2008

We too often list off what we don’t like about fashion, leaving a large hole in our arguments: what constitutes good fashion. With no further adieu, here’s a quick list of some good styles becoming more popular in Fall 2008 that we recommend- from our staples (good sneakers) to some new ideas (racing jackets and vests).
Decent Jeans
Yes, decent jeans. You don't have to go out and buy $300 jeans- just find ones that fit you well. The new trend (which I'm 100% behind) is to go for a clean wash (i.e. not Abercrombie-and-Fitch-dirty) and with a slightly slimmer leg. If you intend to go for more "refined" styles (like the peacoat/vest mentioned here), go with darker washes without any arbitrary rips/tears- it looks more complete.
