This has ALWAYS been a fashion rule, it seems that no-one wants to lisen. Never wear socks with sandals, ever. There are no exceptions. Socks are meant to make shoes comfortable and hide your lower leg in some cases, not to be brightly displayed under shitty polyester or leather.
