It’s apparently trendy these days to only tuck your shirt into your crotch…WTF IS THIS S***? Who actually wants to see parts of your belt buckle and (possible) pubic hairs? Well-dressed men should know to either follow through with the tuck, or untuck the whole shirt. The retard-tuck seems to look nice on certain shirts, but IMO it just screams “slob” on anyone doing it outside of a fashion shoot. If the shirt’s really that long, then a tailor ought to shorten it to fit the person.

I absolutely agree. What you’re referring to actually seems to have evolved from lazy teenagers and businesspeople, who quickly shove the front of their shirt down their pants to vaguely look put together. It almost goes without saying that you should either tuck your shirt entirely or not do so at all — anything else looks stupid.
