I have to disagree completely on two points. The "outdated" suits, and the fedora. If by "outdated" you mean anything not made within that past few years then you are simply out of your mind. Vintage suits made from the turn of the century to the early 60's (dominated by the 20's-40's other wise known as the Golden Age) are not only made of better quality materials compared to their modern counterparts, but are of a better style then those made in the modern age. In fact the BEST suits of the modern age are simply imitations of those vintage styles. Can you honestly say that modern suits are better then those worn by Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, Humphrey Bogart, and Cary Grant?

As far as the fedora goes, quit simply stated there is nothing better then a well made lid. Especially if you have the honor to wear a vintage lid made by the master craftsmen of the past, or the modern fedoras made by the custom hatter of today who have inherited their skills. Not only do you not need a suit to wear a fedora, all you really need is the classic vintage style casual look. There is a reason that shows such as Mad Men, have shaken up the fashion world in many ways. Mad Men with its amazing eye for detail have shown that even when dressing casually, your Grandfather looked better then most people in the modern age. You don't need a suit to wear a fedora, but you do need style and confidence. There is a reason that the Rat Pack are still the epitome of "cool" even today. The fedora wearing crooners had style, REAL style, and anyone who knows how to pull it off today are head and shoulders above the jeans and t-shirt "normal" crowd, who think being "hip" and a fashion starter means buying the new sneakers being advertised as imitations of their favorite rappers.

Personally, I find that leather trench coats are amazing, when used in situations like the ones they were originally devised for. I wear mine only in heavy snow for example. But I agree that it is in no way fashionable. It's just nice to be able to have so much protection from the elements.

Yes, they are awful! I want guys to look like guys! I never saw what was attractive about a guy who looks/dresses like a girl. Plus, skinny jeans like that on a guy just look strange!

Not to sound rude at all but, the real trouble with this article is that a lot of these trends are not as bad as they are made out to be (clothing styles are seen in different ways by everyone, and the fact remains that you cannot totally say something looks bad, for the simple reason that not everyone looks bad in something).
If anything, it felt like this was another one of those long articles written by someone despeartely hoping to sound like they have a vast amount of knowledge of the topic, when in fact they know little more than a one year-old knows about the atom bomb. Plus the word 'horrible' seems to be so overused, I suppose that is the only word we can use to describe the way in which this list was written.

on almost all the objects: it depends on who's wearing them in what way. You certainly have an eye for finding the worst examples possible on these items and attacking subcultures that has been roaming the earth since the 70s.

I do agree on the crocs, the sleeping bag jacket and the leather trenchcoat. Although the trencoat has excellent leather for making other items.

Maybe a new post on the right way to wear something and the wrong way?

I know this has been hashed, re-hashed, etc etc etc, but the Fedora is a thing that only douchebags wear if, and only if, they're not wearing it with the proper outfit. A fedora with a t-shirt, leather jacket, black duster, or basically anything that wouldn't belong on a man out for a night on the town in the early 1960s signals DOUCHEBAG. A full modern suit can add an additional lever of awesome class with a fedora, especially if the man wearing it knows "hat etiquette." Namely, take off your fucking hat when you're inside, tip it to women, etc.

One thing that really pisses me off about leather trenchcoats is that they were given such a lame image by all the Noe wonnabee.
