Expensive Basics

Written by admin, Sunday, January 24th, 2016 in Fashion, Q&As, The Style Guide

A lot of my friends say their $300 Saint Laurent shirts are better quality than my American Apparel shirts. True?

Barely. For basics like t-shirts, the incremental value of the money you spend results in increasingly less quality. In other words, a $300 shirt is going to be better – but only barely better – than what you wear from places like American Apparel.

In other words:

pricexvalue

Anyone who spends $300 on a t-shirt rather than 12 different ~$25 shirts is being wasteful.
