Jesse Aboagye Exposes The Secret to Wardrobe Transitions

Written by Kate, Tuesday, June 9th, 2015 in Fashion, Featured, The Style Guide

Jesse Aboagye is always on the clock. Along with a full time job, he runs ABOAGYE, a small company offering beautiful, handmade ties and tie clips. As the sole employee he does everything from customer service to mailing out orders, and still finds time to blog and upload YouTube videos. “I knew it took a lot of work to start and run a company,” Jesse said, “what I underestimated was the impact it would have on my social life. I have a 24/7 job and a regular job, which leaves very little time for socializing. Luckily I have equally ambitious friends.” But despite working around the clock, ABOAGYE ties are priced at just $25 and offer free shipping. “Our target customer is the gentleman transitioning wardrobes, he has other things to worry about like suits and quality shoes. ABOAGYE just makes it easier to have options when it comes to accessories for your suit.”

Like all great startups, ABOAGYE began as a solution to an issue faced by most. Seeking a more sophisticated look, Jesse began to transition his wardrobe from adolescent to a look that would reflect his drive and ambition, but quickly became discouraged at the price of accessories. Developing a wardrobe seemed to come with a hefty price tag and little return investment. “Regardless of what industry you are in or the product you are offering, value should be your focus. It really is a privilege to provide a product or service to someone and should not be taken lightly.”  Determined, Jesse decided to create a company that would ease wardrobe transition and still offer the best value.

But ABOAGYE would need to be more than just a great tie company. Though reluctant at first to stand in the spotlight, Jesse wanted the company to be relatable and not just sell without any thought to how the pieces could work in real life. Watching any of the videos uploaded you will notice that each piece and every suggestion on how to pair it is not just relatable, it’s attainable. For those looking to transition their own wardrobes but unsure where to begin, Jesse offers simple advice: “Fit! That is the foundation of everything from an aesthetic point of view, as long as your clothes fit well you will look good.To develop great style you have to truly know yourself. Substance builds character and is the foundation of style. Get to know yourself and principles. Now communicate who you are without speaking…that’s style!”

Currently, ABOAGYE offers skinny ties (2 inches wide x 58 inches long) but plans for “normal” size ties and bow ties are in the works. ABOAGYE products are stunning, offering a wide array of patterns like bold gingham and colorful floral, but if you’re worried about being able to pull it off, Jesse insists, why not try? “Go for it! Pulling anything off is all about your approach and confidence. Pair it with a crisp white cotton shirt and a jacket that complements the tie. That’s a fail proof way to pull it off in my humble opinion.”

For a limited time he is offering WellCultured readers 20% off products on his website (http://www.aboagye.co/). Simply use the promo code wellcultured20 at checkout for this incredible deal.
